Technology has brought the world closer. Call it the internet effect, or due to ease of transportation, people from all countries, all cultures can now interact freely and frequently. And our world is only going to get more and more interconnected with time. Therefore, it is very necessary for kids to know about each other’s culture.

Human beings are all unique and different. Children know that too. According to this article from the Pennsylvania State University, children begin noticing gender and racial differences by the time they are two. At this age, their minds are sensitive and malleable. Therefore, it is necessary to educate them about differences from a very young age. It is only through this knowledge about our differences that they can understand the equality of all humans.

It cannot be denied that there is a lot of intolerance and discrimination in our world. One primary reason why people discriminate on the basis of race, culture, caste or creed is because they do not possess knowledge about them or about their culture. Ignorance leads to fear of the unknown, and that fear sometimes leads to the development of hostile and aggressive behavior.

We, at PlayShifu, want to build a different world—a better world, where people from all countries and cultures respect each other. And to build such an inclusive tomorrow, we need to ensure that the upcoming generation knows about different cultures and learns to acknowledge the differences and accept it.

But where will children get their knowledge about other cultures? The representation of people from other countries and cultures on the media can be deceptive and biased. It is hard to trust social media because it is a powerhouse of disseminating false information. And so it is necessary that your children are provided the correct knowledge, and that too at an early age.

That’s where Shifu Orboot comes in.

Orboot-Culture

We have not come across any other toy that introduces so many different cultures to kids at such a young age. And it does so in a super fun way. The learning Orboot provides is an inclusive and all-around experience. The kids learn about different countries (that too through poems!), about cultural events and festivals (through individual stories!), about their cuisines, about their animals.

Orboot sensitizes your kids to foreign cultures at a very young age, thereby setting them on their way to become truly global citizens!

Happy Orbooting!
